Expanding our product portfolio...

Over the past couple of years, our US office has been quietly at work on expanding our service portfolio to include a client software solution that will help bring “NextGen TV” to fruition. Since the broadcast of the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang in 2018, ATSC 3.0 has garnered much attention and press. Since then, our engineers have been diligently creating a software solution that takes advantage of the tremendous capabilities this new broadcast standard offers.

To build our ATSC 3.0 software solution, we have relied on our 20 years of experience, and our full product lineup that has powered over 50 million deployed devices around the world. As a result, we have developed a solution that manages, decodes and renders video content to various devices such as smart TVs, set-top boxes, dongles and other companion devices, deeming them ATSC 3.0 compatible. By utilizing AltiView™, our award-winning UI/UX design, the viewer is able to enjoy a seamless user experience across all devices. You can find all of the features here.

Continuous refinement at tradeshows and industry interops, as well as strategic partnerships with Triveni Digital, LowaSIS and others who are leading the charge in ATSC 3.0, enables a solution and complete ecosystem that can help the industry quickly deploy compelling services. The expected rollout in 2020 will change the broadcast industry and we are looking forward to contributing our knowledge and experience to garner ATSC 3.0’s potential. Alticast Privacy Statement

GENERAL

Alticast may collect your personal data when you visit an Alticast office or website, order or purchase Alticast products or services or when you contact Alticast. This Privacy Statement applies to the collection and handling of the personal data of (potential) visitors to Alticast and users of the Alticast website ("Customers").

Alticast attaches great importance to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. We will handle your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Alticast may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time. You may always view the latest version of the Privacy Statement at www.alticast.com. We advise you to visit this website regularly to determine whether you possess the most recent version of the Privacy Statement, and that you do so whenever sending your personal data to Alticast. This Privacy Statement was last changed on August 26 2018.

THE FIVE PRIVACY PRINCIPLES OF ALTICAST

The Alticast Privacy Principles reflect how we handle data protection and privacy.

1. Alticast has many years of experience with developing end-to-end media technology solutions that enable service providers to quickly and reliably deliver innovative TV experiences to their customers. We comply with strict statutory regulations. This means that we are legally required to process and store personal data. We are open and clear about this in our privacy statement.
2. Alticast uses strict rules for processing personal data, and we regularly evaluate the functioning of the rules. We process personal data that is relevant and necessary to give customers a wonderful customer experience and to be a good employer for our staff.
3. Alticast has taken appropriate organisational and technical security measures for dealing with the personal data of customers and employees. Only people with the correct level of authorisation are able to access personal data. If we engage external parties, we only do so once we have made solid agreements about the safe processing of personal data. We take measures to prevent data breaches, but should these occur, we inform the parties concerned and the regulatory authority when necessary.
4. Alticast develops new systems according to the principles of "privacy by design" and "privacy by default". These mean that privacy aspects are included in the design process, and we always start from the most privacy-friendly level.
5. Alticast wants to offer transparent, clear information about which personal data we process, why this is necessary, and how we handle the processing of personal data. We will assist any customers, employees or other persons concerned who require further details or information on this.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?

- To be able to send you our general e-mail newsletter, provided you have opted in for this, and to keep you up to date on Alticast's general promotions and offers;

Alticast collects your personal data only as much as necessary to offer and deliver products and services, or to the extent to which Alticast is bound by a legal requirement. Alticast may process the following items of your personal data:

HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

You can make your personal data known to us in a number of ways, for example, when you:

Our basic principle is that we do not share your personal data with third parties. COMMERCIAL COMMUNICATION FROM ALTICAST

Alticast is happy to discuss with you about its products and services, for example by email, post, text message, telephone or via other communication channels. You always have the option to opt out of receiving further commercial communications from us by using one of the following options:
- by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the Alticast emails;
- by specifying via Alticast's website contact form that you no longer wish to receive commercial communication from Alticast;
- by indicating this in writing to Customer Services using the postal address below.
When you unsubscribe to commercial communications from us, we will remove you from the mailing list as quickly as possible. This normally occurs within 1-3 working days. Because of the processing time and production schedules, you may receive the communications that were already in production.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Alticast has taken suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. We protect your personal data using a range of security measures, including secure storage.
