With a little help from our friends...

Our award-winning cloud UI interface, Apex™️, recently underwent a performance boost with a little help from our friends at Intel®️. Known for its hybrid architecture, Apex delivers a graphics-rich UI on multiple platforms and devices. The UI graphics are rendered from a PNG format in the cloud. Since compressing and decompressing data are two of the most time-consuming tasks in PNG processing, Alticast turned to Intel's®️ Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel®️IPP), a component of the Intel®️ System Studio, to accelerate this process for Apex. This resulted in an almost 15% increase in optimization for the UI, giving the end user more channels to view in a single server.

You can read about all of the Intel®️ elements that went into this optimization in Intel's®️ case study, "Alticast Optimizes Its Cloud User Interface Apex with ZLIB®️ Acceleration using Intel®️ Integrated Performance Primitives in Intel®️System Studio."
