Sssh! It’s a Peek Behind The Curtain at Ambient TV!

Don’t look now, but our still-to-be-launched Ambient TV is on a roll. Just a couple of weeks after it was shortlisted for the CSI Innovation Awards – among the highlights of the upcoming IBC Show in Amsterdam – Ambient TV will be previewed for many of the industry’s biggest technology movers and shakers at the invitation-only annual CableLabs Summer Conference.

As we make the case about how end-to-end solutions built around Alticast products can power next generation user experiences, let’s be clear about one thing – at CableLabs Summer Conference, Ambient TV will be our Exhibit A. We’ve given it a cloak-and-dagger internal code name – Altiview Z – that’s in keeping with the exclusive nature of the CableLabs event.

For those of you who aren’t headed to the August 6-9 event, here’s what you’ll be missing (or at least as much as we can tell you): The end-to-end ability to deliver both pay-TV network and OTT content. Flexibility to run on both RDK and Android platforms. And unparalleled deployment versatility that meets the needs of managed, unmanaged and hybrid systems, as well as MVPD networks.

While Ambient TV will be our star of the show at CableLabs Summer Conference, we’ll also be demonstrating how operators can convert online video feeds into linear TV channels – complete with a presence in the operator’s guide. In a joint demo with Petrichor Networks we’ll show how pay-TV operators can use this capability to offer more channels to Millennials and other viewers, without incurring high programming costs.

We look forward to providing a peek behind the curtain at how our latest innovations are helping the pay-TV industry meet customer needs and generate new revenue. Alticast Privacy Statement

GENERAL

Alticast may collect your personal data when you visit an Alticast office or website, order or purchase Alticast products or services or when you contact Alticast. This Privacy Statement applies to the collection and handling of the personal data of (potential) visitors to Alticast and users of the Alticast website ("Customers").

Alticast attaches great importance to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. We will handle your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Alticast may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time. You may always view the latest version of the Privacy Statement at www.alticast.com. We advise you to visit this website regularly to determine whether you possess the most recent version of the Privacy Statement, and that you do so whenever sending your personal data to Alticast. THE FIVE PRIVACY PRINCIPLES OF ALTICAST

The Alticast Privacy Principles reflect how we handle data protection and privacy.

1. Alticast has many years of experience with developing end-to-end media technology solutions that enable service providers to quickly and reliably deliver innovative TV experiences to their customers. We comply with strict statutory regulations. This means that we are legally required to process and store personal data. We are open and clear about this in our privacy statement.
2. Alticast uses strict rules for processing personal data, and we regularly evaluate the functioning of the rules. We process personal data that is relevant and necessary to give customers a wonderful customer experience and to be a good employer for our staff.
3. Alticast has taken appropriate organisational and technical security measures for dealing with the personal data of customers and employees. Only people with the correct level of authorisation are able to access personal data. If we engage external parties, we only do so once we have made solid agreements about the safe processing of personal data. We take measures to prevent data breaches, but should these occur, we inform the parties concerned and the regulatory authority when necessary.
4. Alticast develops new systems according to the principles of "privacy by design" and "privacy by default". These mean that privacy aspects are included in the design process, and we always start from the most privacy-friendly level.
5. Alticast wants to offer transparent, clear information about which personal data we process, why this is necessary, and how we handle the processing of personal data. We will assist any customers, employees or other persons concerned who require further details or information on this.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?

Alticast collects your personal data only as much as necessary to offer and deliver products and services, or to the extent to which Alticast is bound by a legal requirement. Alticast may process the following items of your personal data:

HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

You can make your personal data known to us in a number of ways, for example, when you:

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?

Our basic principle is that we do not share your personal data with third parties. COMMERCIAL COMMUNICATION FROM ALTICAST

- by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the Alticast emails;
- by specifying via Alticast's website contact form that you no longer wish to receive commercial communication from Alticast;
- by indicating this in writing to Customer Services using the postal address below.
When you unsubscribe to commercial communications from us, we will remove you from the mailing list as quickly as possible. This normally occurs within 1-3 working days. Because of the processing time and production schedules, you may receive the communications that were already in production.
