On Cloud Nine Over AltiCloud UI

With the continuing growth of online video services, one of the common themes seems to be the importance of user interfaces that help subscribers more easily seek and find available content.  Whether it’s Netflix, Amazon or some of the most recent headline grabbers – Google, iflix and Plex – it’s clear they all understand that the interface is the key to unlocking greater engagement.

With that in mind, it’s a good time to speak about the significance of the recognition our AltiCloud UI just received from the Republic of Korea.  Together with Korea Telecom, our deployment partner, we received a Multimedia Technology Excellence Award from the government’s Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.  Given Korea’s role as a powerhouse of technology innovation, this is a VERY big deal.

What put AltiCloud UI on the Ministry’s pedestal?  Well, here’s what customers and prospects have told us they like about AltiCloud UI: The way it makes search and discovery a user-friendly experience on everything from legacy pay-TV set-top boxes to the latest smartphones and tablets; the way its virtualization of the user interface minimizes client and hardware constraints; and the way it allows rich user experiences that perform consistently across every supported device.

In today’s press announcement, we talk a bit more about the benefits of AltiCloud UI’s flexibility, simplicity and efficiency, but here’s the bottom line: The emergence of online video providers, the resulting democratization of content and the decline in appointment viewing all have turned connecting consumers with content into a fine art. We’re grateful to the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning for recognizing just how well we do it.
